Operation Christmas Child

We collected 70 Boxes!!

Operation Christmas Child is the world’s largest children’s Christmas project, bringing joy into the lives of underprivileged children since 1990. Last year, nearly 1.2 million shoe boxes were packed with gifts and goodies and sent from the UK to children who need them most in some of the toughest parts of the world, including Haiti.

72 of those boxes were from Egerton! In Monday’s assembly this week the children enjoyed learning about the recent work of Operation Christmas Child and in assembly this morning Mrs Rowland shared with the children her box. A leaflet providing more information and the necessary labels for the boxes will be sent home today.

This is completely optional and it is appreciated that some children may be completing a box with Brownies, Churches or other organisations. This is a family decision whether to get involved.

Boxes will need to be in school by Monday 5th November in time for our official collection.
