This included the wonderful story of the woman who completed the London Marathon in 16 days. She is paralysed from the waist down after a riding accident. However, due to using a revolutionary suit that she can control with her wrists she was able to walk all 26 miles of the course.
Sadly, as she did not complete the marathon within 24 hours the rules state that she is not eligible for a medal. The happy ending was that not only did she finish but runners who had completed the marathon turned up at the finish line to cheer her on and present her with their medals to recognize her courage and resilience!
The Egerton Gymnastic Team competed in the National Schools’ Gymnastic Competition on Saturday representing the North West. They performed brilliantly and with such passion and commitment! They were placed 7th overall but achieved an amazing 3rd place on the floor exercise! We are all very proud of this team. This is an amazing achievement!
Sam Wooler in class 6 took part in the Alderley edge Music Festival last weekend. Sam is an amazing pianist and was awarded 2nd place in the piano solo category for Year 6 children. Well done Sam!
Just yesterday 4 children from Class 4 represented our school in the Knutsford Schools’ Tennis Tournament. Louis, Eloise, Eden and Celia played exceptionally well! We came 3rd overall and were only just beaten by Mobberley and Yorsten Lodge. They came back to school proudly wearing their medals!
