Open the Book!

Yesterday was a very special day.

The ‘Open the Book’ team came into school for their final assembly. They started leading a weekly assembly back in September. The children have loved these assemblies which are jammed packed with drama, music, laughter and serious messages.

The team brought in the most amazing cake, baked by one of their team with a map of the world in icing! Jane and Heather in the kitchen did an amazing job of cutting this into 203 pieces!

The team is moving on to lead some taster sessions in Bexton this term. However, they will be returning in the Autumn term to lead a monthly assembly, especially for Egerton! A member of the team, David Musembi from Kenya, will be returning to school at the end of June when we welcome          Mr Korori and Mrs Tiren from Egerton in Kenya!
