New Chair of Governors

Howard Kirkham stepped down as a governor at Egerton at the end of last term.

Howard had been a governor for eight years, and chair of governors for five years. He has done a great deal for the school in that time, and we are going to miss him on the governing body. Many of you will have met Howard at school, or in the community, and I’m sure will join me in wishing him all the best in the new role he is taking on for Knutsford Rotary Club.

I’m Caroline Wilding, new chair of governors. I have been a governor here for three years and vice chair for the past two years. I am looking forward to getting more involved with supporting the school.

The governing body is responsible for strategic planning and holding the school to account. We work as a team, along with Mrs Hooper and the staff, to make sure the school provides a good quality education for all its pupils. You can find our photographs in the foyer. Do say hello if you see us at parents’ evenings or school events.
